Ingredients
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
Optional – unless the kids have already had them this way
Directions
- Cream peanut butter, butter and sugar together.
- Blend in eggs and vanilla.
- Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well.
- Shape rounded teaspoons full of dough into balls.
- Place on ungreased baking sheets.
- Flatten slightly and criss-cross with a fork.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. (Watch them...you don't want them too dark or burned and it happens fast).
- Makes 7 dozen cookies.
